The center has been the host of the buildings at 68 Łukasińskiego Street since March 2002. The main building is a 100 hundred year old palace of B. Hantke, the previous owner of Częstochowa Steelworks. The historic interiors form unforgettable atmosphere, which is conducive to artistic education and activity. In the 1970s a spectacular room with 417 seats and an indoor swimming pool with a paddling pool for children were added to the existing buildings surrounded by a 1, 5 hectare park. Youth Culture Club is open to the needs of all children at the age of kindergarten, primary school and teenagers. It is trying to enlarge its activities by changing kinds, character and forms of work in various classes. It is all done according to the modern and creative needs of children and teenagers. Our main task is to offer our participants new and attractive activities. Children and teenagers can participate in different types of classrooms - music, choreography, photo, drama, draughts and chess, foreign languages (English and German), CB radios, computers, electro - technical, tailor, art handicraft, modeling, Young Journalist Club. We offer swimming classes in the indoor pool for the students of second grades of primary schools in Częstochowa within the Common Swimming Scholarship curriculum. The Gallery of Children and Youth Art Creativity called "PANOPTICUM" has existed in Youth Culture Club since May 2003. We cooperate with educational and cultural centers in our country and abroad. Works from art competitions were presented in Portugal and Lithuania. Every year they are exhibited in the Gallery of Art Creativity in Słupsk and Warszawa. Since the last few years we have published postcards and calendars presenting the works awarded in our contests. We also organize Pro- Health Conferences and European Debates called Youth- Culture- Europe. Youth Culture Club has a little influence on forming the history of Częstochowa. Since the beginning of our existence we have been present among the people from our city. We work with young people who are becoming adults soon. Thanks to our classes they develop their interests and abilities. They enlarge the knowledge they receive at school. They make their dreams come true. We have a lot of satisfactions having the opportunity to get to know them. We are also very glad when our students win a prize and at the same time we are very proud of them. Working today, we always think about tomorrow. We strongly believe that thanks to our educational proposals we are able to appeal to the needs of most children and youth. Since the beginning of our existence we have organized a lot of local, regional, nationwide and international events. In the 1980s and 1990s events such as: Nationwide Exhibitions of Education Centers Technical Creativity, Nationwide Confrontations of Children and Youth Social Dancing, Nationwide Tournament in Children Couples Social Dancing, Polish Youth Championship in Sport Bridge, Women World Championship in draughts were organized. Every year we organize about 60 events for children and youth. Nationwide and international art, draughts, dancing, music and sport contests belong to them. Above 40 000 children and youth participate in the above mentioned contests. The participants of our classes achieve successes in many contests organized by other leisure centers in our country. In 2000 and 2003 the Ministry of Education and Recreation entrusted us to organize the Nationwide Contest of Children and Youth Art Creativity called "Landscape of Poland - traditions, the present and the future", which was a special distinguish for our center. The history of Youth Culture Club is mainly formed thanks to the history of people, children and work. Rich in experiences from the past and successes achieved in nationwide forum, we wish to continue creating the present and the future.
